Suspected cultists kill Okada Rider in Ogun State
Some suspected cultists have murdered a commercial motorcyclist (okada rider) in Kuto, Abeokuta,Ogun State.
It was gathered that the victim was butchered with machetes in the head around 2.30pm in the Kuto under bridge.
According to an eyewitness, the hoodlums, who wore masks, were in a convoy of three motorcycles. “The killers chased the victim from the Presidential Boulevard along Oke Mosan Road, to the Kuto Market area.
“They waylaid the rider at the Kuto Road junction and attacked him with machetes him in the head, leading to pandemonium.”
The hoodlums were said to have jumped on their motorcycles and fled the area.
Another eyewitness said the victim was initially shot before he was attacked with machetes by the suspects.
Attempts to speak to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, failed as he could not be reached on the telephone.
