Timing of strike action by resident doctors wrong, says Atiku
The Former Vice President, Alh. Atiku Abubakar, has said the timing of the strike action by the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) is wrong.
The NARD embarked on the strike action on Monday over poor salary and other issues affecting members.
Reacting to the strike action, Atiku said the timing of the strike “is wrong and can only exacerbate the conditions of Nigerians already facing multiple challenges.”
“The strike action by resident doctors should have been averted. The timing is wrong and can only exacerbate the conditions of Nigerians already facing multiple challenges.
“The FG should expeditiously work with the doctors’ union at resolving the extant issues that triggered the strike action.”
