Police rescue 11 Katsina kidnap victims, free stolen cows after gun battle

Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued 11 kidnap victims from a hideout at Sabon Garin Safana, on the outskirts of Tsaskiya village, in the Safana Local Government Area of the state.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, adding that the victims were rescued on Sunday.
He said all the rescued victims were reunited with their families after medical treatment. He also revealed that police operatives in Kankara LGA on Sunday engaged bandits in a shootout at Danmarabu village, during which 38 cows, 11 sheep and a motorcycle were recovered.
