Nicolas Felix, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, says the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila fits well as Chief of Staff to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.
Felix, a former presidential aspirant of the ruling APC said this during a recent interview on Arise TV. According to him, the House Of Reps Speaker has all the qualities needed for the position of Chief of Staff to the President-elect.
The former APC presidential aspirant noted that although it has not been officially stated, but Gbajabiamila is a good enough for the position.
It can be recalled that some days ago that the Speaker was in France with the President-elect and has been speculated to emerge as the Chief of Staff to Tinubu when he begins his administration May 29, 2023.
Felix further stated that Gbajabiamila has worked with Tinubu, a former Lagos governor for a long time and as such got the trust of the former Lagos governor.
“We have people that are capable, but as a president, if you don’t trust them, you can’t pick them, so I believe that because his relationship with Asiwaju is a great one. Gbajanbiamila has been in the house for twenty years”, he said in the interview.
“He was a minority leader, majority leader, and now the speaker, so all these put together, I think Femi is a great guy for the position”.
“Asiwaju is a man that knows how to pick challenge and believe in diversity so I expect his cabinet to be full of young men, women, talented people who are able to drive the economy.”
