58 new COVID-19 cases reported across six states, FCT

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday reported 58 new COVID-19 cases across six states and the Federal Capital Territory in the country.
The agency did not report any additional COVID-19 related death. The NCDC disclosed this on its official official website.
According to data from the agency, Lagos state reported 35 cases while the FCT reported 9 cases followed by Edo with 5 cases, Delta with 4 cases, Kano with 2 cases,Rivers with 2 cases, Kaduna with one.
The reported 58 new infections have brought the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 253,838, while 230,211 people have recovered and have been discharged.
With no additional COVID-19 related death recorded for the day, the death toll from the virus still stands at 3,139.
The agency added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
