Why our men ransacked Seun Kuti’s house – Police

The Lagos State Police Command has explained why the residence of Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti was ransacked on Tuesday.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Tuesday, the police searched the singer’s house over the alleged discovery of suspicious things.

It was reported by many Nigerians new media that Policemen on Tuesday carried out the search and reportedly seized Kuti’s wife’s mobile phone during the raid.

Speaking on why the force search the musician’s house, Hundeyin noted that the things stumbled upon needed to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

“In the course of our investigation, we stumbled on certain suspicious things that needed to be proven/disproved beyond a reasonable doubt.

“We, therefore, applied for and duly got a search warrant from the court, which we have executed. Investigation continues.” the PPRO said on Wednesday.
