The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria yesterday after 90 days of medicals in London, United Kingdom. The APC chieftain had knee surgery, after which he spent weeks recuperating and during the period was visited by dignitaries from Nigeria, including President Muhammadu Buhari and some governors.
Tinubu was received on arrival at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. A statement last night signed by his Media Adviser, Tunde Rahman, confirmed Tinubu’s return, saying during his trip abroad, he underwent surgery on his right knee, as well as rigorous post-surgery physiotherapy on the said knee.
The statement adds: “Contrary to unfounded rumor, he underwent no other surgical procedures and contemplates none in the future. His recuperation has been without complication and ahead of the schedule by the attending surgeon. “He has returned fully healed from the knee surgery and fully committed to doing his modest part to advancing the cause of progressive democratic good governance throughout our beloved nation.
