The next album “Renaissance” by Beyonce has songs written by Temilade Openiyi, a Nigerian musician better known by the stage name Tems. The Grammy-winning artist unveiled the tracklist for her upcoming seventh studio album on Wednesday.
On social media, an image showing the complete list of songwriters for the soon-to-be-released project began to go viral. The singer of “Crazy Things” was listed among the songwriters who contributed to the creation of the tenth song, “Move.” Richard Isong, Ariowa Irosogie, Denisia “Blu June” Andrews, Brittany “@Chi Coney” Coney, Ronald Banful, and Beyonce are some other songwriters.
The album “Renaissance” has 16 tracks. On July 29, the project is expected to be released. Tems has made a name for herself in the Nigerian music industry by receiving numerous nominations and awards. She rose to fame on a global scale thanks to her part in Wizkid’s song “Essence,” which she co-wrote. She then collaborated on songs with renowned rappers Future and Drake.
She took home the prize for “Best International Act” at the 2022 BET Awards in June. She became the first female musician from Nigeria to win the coveted category with the victory. Along with Wizkid and Justin Bieber, she also took home the prize for “Best Collaboration” for their work on the popular song “Essence” remix.
