NCDC reports 404 new COVID-19 cases, one death across 11 states, FCT

Eleven states and the Federal Capital Territory reported 404 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, according to figures released on Monday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control. 

The agency also reported one additional COVID-19 related death.

The NCDC disclosed this on its official website on Monday.

Oyo state reported most cases of new infections with 122 confirmed cases followed by the FCT – 84, Lagos – 52, Kaduna – 51, Imo – 20, Delta – 18, Kano – 17, Kwara – 16, Rivers – 11, Enugu – 10, Ogun – 2, and Edo – 1.

The 404 new cases of COVID-19 infections have brought the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country to 223, 887. 

However, 211,537 COVID-19 patients have recovered and have been discharged in the country, the agency said.

With one additional COVID-19 related death reported, the death toll from the virus now stands at 2,985, NCDC said.

It added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
