Gunmen believed to be bandits attacked a church in Kogi, killing one and kidnapping three worshippers.
The incident happened on Sunday morning at the ECWA Church in Okedayo, Kabba, headquarters of Kabba Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The occurrence happened barely seven days after the federal medium correctional center, Kabba, was attacked; as well as the abduction of three poultry farmers on their farm.
The abductors were said to have attacked the church while the service was in session.
The church is situated along the Expressway of Kabba-Okene road.
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Kogi State Police Command, DSP William Aya, confirmed the incident, adding that officers were on the trail of the suspects.
Governor Yahaya Bello had earlier described Kogi as the safest state in Nigeria.
