APC inaugurates youth council

The All Progressives Congress (APC)  inaugurated its Youth and Student Council on Saturday in Abuja.

The council is primarily a support group for students and other young Nigerians; to nurture their interest in national politics.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Chairman, House Committee on Army, Abdulrazak Namdas stated that the objective of the council was to galvanise Nigerian students for political participation.

Namdas, who was represented by Mr Husseni Sanda, said  the council was the first of its kind by any political party in recent Nigerian political history.

The newly inaugurated Director- General of the council, Ezenwa Onyirimba said the council planned to bridge the gap between people in leadership and the Nigerian students and youths in general.

Also speaking on the occasion, Rochas Okorocha, the former Governor of Imo State, advised Nigerian youths not to lose hope in the Nigerian project.
