ANSEC Commends Operation Udo Ga-Achi, acknowledges Its Impact Within A Short Formation Period

The Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) lauds the security intervention of the state’s security system, ‘Operation Udo Ga-Achi,’ meaning Peace Shall Reign, for the successes recorded in ensuring the safety of the people since its launch in January.
This was the ANSEC submission at its second meeting of the year which took place at the Council Chamber on February 10, 2025, in Awka, Anambra State, where the personnel of the security forces was eulogized for their swift response to combating crime in the state.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, ANSEC applauded the ‘Operation Udo Ga-Achi,’ personnel for their active performance in combating crime, ranging from kidnapping, cultism, armed robbery, killings, idolatry, among other heinous crimes, urging them not to relent in their pursuit for a safer Anambra.
The Council pointed out that the Anambra Homeland Security Law was designed to combat crime and criminality committed by quacks and evil native doctors, particularly those who pervert and alter the core values of the Igbo society, those who promote and teach the acquisition of wealth without work, and those who deceive the younger generation and unwary members of the society.
The Council further reaffirmed that the State Government has not and will not outlaw traditional worship. The Council further called for moral rearmament and social re-engineering to restore society’s lost values and ensure a healthy future for the state.
In the quest for a crime-free state, Operation Udo Ga-Achi members have many kidnappers, with their hideouts destroyed, and with successful raids for criminals at Ozubulu, Isiagu, Oba, and Nnewi, among other places in Anambra. Also, criminals involved in the death of Hon. Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly representing Onitsha North State Constituency I, have been apprehended.
Importantly, the war against criminals under Governor Soludo has freed eight Local Government Areas, namely Aguata, Ihiala, Ekwusigo, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Orumba North, Orumba South, and Ogbaru, which were under sieged by criminals.
This underscores Governor Soludo’s government commitment to making Anambra a safe place for the people and visitors, and for business and economic activities toย thrive.
