Karim Benzema has been voted the best player of the just concluded La Liga season according to fans as the Frenchman scored 21 goals to help Real Madrid win their first title in three years.
The Frenchman picked up 37% of the vote compared to Messiโs 31% despite that the Argentine the season with the Pichichi trophy after his 25 goals, while he also registered 21 assists.
Those 21 assists broke a La Liga record which had previously been set by former teammate Xavi.
