Turkish giants, Besiktas are working on a deal to sign forward Henry Onyekuru on a permanent deal from Olympiacos. Besiktas are in the market for a new striker with Canada’s CyleLarin set to join Premier League new boys, Nottingham Forest this summer.

Larin has rejected the offer of a new deal from Besiktas and the club are prepared to let the striker move to England. Onyekuru is looking to quit Olympiacos after a below-par campaign. The Nigerian scored one goal in 27 league appearances for the Greek champions last season.

It is reported he is not in manager Pedro Martins’ plans for the upcoming season. The Nigerian forward, who scored one goal in 27 league appearances for the Greek champions last season, is reportedly not in manager Pedro Martins’ plans for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, our correspondent learnt that a huge transfer fee could be a stumbling block to any of his Turkish suitors as the reigning Greek champions demand for the same €4.5m paid to Monaco for Onyekuru last summer.

“A loan deal looks possible at the moment with an option to buy thereafter and this is because of the financial implications. His club (Olympiacos) will demand a huge fee for him because he still has three years left on his contract with them,” a close source stated.
