Anambra Assembly Commends Governor Soludo on the Ekwulobia Transformation and Oko Flood Control Project

The infrastructural transformation of Ekwulobia has received commendation from the Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works and Infrastructure.

While praising the governor on the ongoing flood control project in Ekwulobia and Oko, the house members described the progress of work on the project as commendable, attributing to achievements to the governor’s passion for development and total commitment to his urban regeneration policy, despite the challenges.

In a statement by Aburime, the Chairman of the Committee, Engr. Emma Nwafor, who represents Orumba South Constituency, made this known during an oversight visit to the project site, stating that the project is vital in addressing persistent flooding in the area.

Engr. Nwafor reiterated the Committee’s commitment and support to ensuring high-quality and timely completion of infrastructural projects across the state, as they will continue to monitor developments to ensure compliance with standards.

Consequently, Engr. Omamofo Ken-Wiwa, representing the construction company handling the project, acknowledged Soludo’s support and assured the lawmakers that the project would be executed according to specifications.

He affirmed that the company remains committed to delivering a durable and effective flood control system for the affected communities, despite the rains.

Given that, Governor Soludo recently clinched the Independent Newspaper ‘Governor of the Year 2024’ Award for his urban renewal initiatives, and The Sun Newspaper ‘Governor of the Year 2024’ for his laudable achievements as well as the Vanguard governor of the Year award, the confidence level in him to deliver is very high.
